The Internet Archive is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the digital archiving of websites, books, multimedia content and other cultural artifacts. It hosts a digital library of books, media and software as well as offering the Wayback Machine, which allows users to view past versions of websites. The Internet Archive's services help ensure that digital content and information are preserved for the long term and not lost. The goal is to promote free access to information and as an important resource, access past Internet content and preserve digital culture.
